WINE CYCLE
There is much activity in the vineyards with a careful eye on the weather and frenzied picking when the grapes are just right. The reds are among the last to come off. In the winery they go straight to crushing, pressing and fermentation. A good wine requires the right baume (the relationship between the sugar and water levels of the grape) so dry weather is required to bring out the flavour and the right baume. Work in the winery will continue for many months depending on what wines are being produced, whether they require aging in oak and many other considerations. Normally the new season whites will be ready for bottling in winter, while some reds will not see a bottle for a year.. See "Strangebird" for wines beyond the ordinary.....Read More

Thank you for your hospitality and generosity. The villa was beautiful, the basket breakfast full of fresh products and we had the sun, the birds and the kangaroos as fellow companions. We spreaded the word of your little paradise for friends to discover. Stephen & Anne-Sophie

Just a little note to praise you both on such a wonderful little getaway you have created there. It was so relaxing we didnt get to do half of the things we thought were going to. The studio and tranquil surrounds were just bliss, along with the delicious breakfast basket, which cooked up fine on the BBQ.
There was really no need to go anywhere else. it was hard coming back to the hustle & bustle of the city. We will try to get back there again, and refer your retreat to others.                                       Tony & Jennifer
